Adam Welker 97
Making Things Work by Nancy Hiller is a great read for any woodworker regardless of your experience. This book is not a “how to” book nor is it filled with projects and shop drawings. Making Things Work tells an often hilarious and candid story of a woodworkers life from early training to running a business and everything in between. All of her wonderfully told stories not only hold precious lessons about our craft but also reveals many of the pitfalls a professional maker faces. Anyone who may be considering making woodworking a full time job should definitely read this book. It is a short, easy read (138 pages) and is difficult to put down.
