Popular Post John Moody
Man seems like it was just Friday yesterday and here we are again. We’ve been fairly busy in the shop this week, however my son has been moving so we’ve not gotten done as mush as usual. We finished he’s three sets of Cornhole boards and I have pictures of two of them. The third set was plain without any decals. Next week we we will be back at it full go. Tomorrow I’m cooking burgers at the shooting range as part of their 2nd Birthday. Should be a fun day. So so what’s on your agenda this weekend? Share your projects and pictures with us. Whatever you do, have fun and be safe. p_toad, Thad, Harry Brink and 4 others

Popular Post John Morris
Nice boards John! Got the weave in for my shaker rocker, wrong color! Also started looking at the oval boxes made by the shakers, and I received a "How To" in the mail yesterday by Shaker Box Builder John Wilson. Came with some forms and class instructions and a dvd, excited to dig in this weekend and see how they are made by John Wilson. Getting ready to barbecue up some pollo right now! lew, Cal, FlGatorwood and 3 others
Popular Post Gerald
Love the grain in that nasty A, waiting to see Ole Miss. Went to the range with my #2 son and my grandson yesterday. Grandson may eventually develop his skills if he can remember to use his trigger finger correctly. Today we will do a pen turning session and have to work a 1/2 day tomorrow. Oh yesterday tried to do a twist on a box. The twist looks good but when I cut for the top it messed up the match so will do two boxes with either bulb top or bottom to save the twist. So more to come next week. Spent a whopping $10 here, today... Figured I could get one good drill from those two... Addicting little devils... Still cleaning this mess up.. Just miss a corner Brace Drill....medallion on the Atkins saw says "Diamond Edge" saw plate was too far gone, even for $2... Waiting on parts for the mitre box rehab.... HandyDan
Didn't get the cane done but close. Got sidetracked fixing the neighbors lawn tractor. 24HP Briggs with a two barrel carb that is leaking gas into the engine when turned off after using a bit. Has a fuel shut off solenoid and a needle valve. Guess both are bad. He sent it to the local shop and they told him they thought it was the choke and they don't fix chokes all for the low low price of $53.00. Fuel solenoid and carb parts $150.00. Found a new carb on E-Bay for $75.00. Can finish the cane while waiting for parts. Been cutting his grass for him while it is down. How about a really new voltmeter? Cal and steven newman

Remembering to take pictures is less of a priority as putting back all the tools. At the least I am off on Sunday, after church I will snap a few. As long as the weather continues to cooperate. Popular Post Cal
I continue working on various projects. A couple of which: The kitchen... this week I managed to patch the ceiling where I had cut out a block of sheetrock to more easily access the electrical panel, prime with oil base, texture and paint the entire ceiling, also did the 1/2 bath ceiling at the same time. Time to install the lights, today. Then on to wrapping up the electrical, insulate and drywall - probably be a couple weeks before that is done. Car shopping. The a/c went out on the wife's car a couple weeks ago. The evaporator core Not an easy fix, likely two days for me to do it. The car (Dodge Avenger) has 200,000 on it and I made the determination that it was not worth the fix so we started looking for a good used car. The wife puts a lot of miles on for work and she plans to retire in a couple years so I just wanted a decent car with maybe 100,000 +/- that would take her to retirement. No reason to buy a new car and have it totally wore out for work and have to buy later anyhow. We did look at a bunch of cars, wow - what some people call "excellent" condition!!! On Tuesday evening we bought a 2012 Ford Fusion, Thursday evening we were idling through the neighborhood in the Dodge to visit her sister and I'll be darned if it didn't drop a valve - or something. A loss of power and a lot of clattering deep down in the engine We did manage to limp back to the house and change horses... This upcoming week we are venturing up into the woodworking capital of America, otherwise known as "Ohio". A quick visit to see our son in Columbus. We are both looking forward to the trip. And no - we were not going to take the Dodge - I was lining up a rental when we bought the Ford. In big news, it has rained here the last couple days!!! I know that a lot of you have had too much, but our last appreciable rainfall was May 12th. We needed the rain... Popular Post steven newman
Used to sell them on Fee-Bay....got tired of the Fee in feebay....was eating all the profits. Have been there is almost 2 years.... Been known to send a few items out, as a way of paying it forward.....usually just the cost of shipping...
