We are very proud of these tools and I am sure they will be a hit! The thing we don't really advertise and you guys here at TPW should know is that @Steve Krumanaker and @lew were a critical part of our team in developing these tools. They both tested, critiqued and provided invaluable input into the development of these tools. They've had had prototype sets in their shops for several months now. We went through several variations of prototypes and came up with what I think is a great set of new tools. Many thanks to Steve and Lew, you guys are good! Tool bars are stainless steel 5/16" square with rounded edges. While the tools come standard with our Ci5 Negative Rake you can add our standard Ci5 cutter (0 rake) if you want a more aggressive cut. I am so flattered and so grateful to EWT for this opportunity and for the chance to work with them. I can tell everyone, they listen to what we, as wood turners want. EWT sent me a set of test tools, I tried them, offered suggestions, told them what I liked, what I didn't, and they listened. These are great tools, the negative rake cutters are amazing, very forgiving and very easy to control. Thanks to Jim and EWT for the chance to part of this. Gerald Posted June 6, 2019 Report Share Posted June 6, 2019 I do not plan to change from my Hunter small hollowing set which is great. But I cannot fint the price for this set . Is it on the market yet? As an aside we had a club demo at the Ag Museum a few months ago and compared the neg rake Easy Wood cutters with a Henry Taylor converted neg rake scraper and Hunter #4 and Easy Wood finish was not quite as good of a finish cut as the other two. Now do not think of this as bashing but as a comment on what works for me. Here is another evaluation on Clewes mate tool. We had both it and the Hunter Viceroy at a 4 lathe demo at the club and everyone who tried both liked the Hunter better.
