Thanks Pat In the diagram I see a screw at the end of the shaft that possibly can be tightened to stake up some slack caused by wear. Appears to be a hex headed screw. Look at the mechanism and see if this is indeed possible. Be my 1st place to look. Also it has a spring and some washers. For a diagram I looked on ereplacements.com. The salesperson at the BB had issue with me asking could I take it apart and look at something. Good find, I was sure some adjustment for wear was possible.
