Popular Post RustyFN
Well I got the cabinet done. It is not fancy. The wife wanted it made out of pine and wanted it plane. It is 48 inches wide, 7 feet tall and 19 inches deep. Everything is glued and pocket screwed. It was made from 1 by 10 pine. For the trim and doors 1 by 4 pine and 1/4" plywood and 1/4" plywood for the back. I stained it with a light Maple and put two coats of poly over that. She was happy and wants two more smaller ones. I see why she wants smaller ones to match. You know the old saying, "happy wife, happy life." You'll probably need some new tools to make construction of those smaller ones easier won't you? Popular Post 1fizgig
Very nicely done. Would you make the shelves adjustable in the smaller ones? That's some really good work, thanks for sharing. Gunny, RustyFN, Cal and 3 others

Popular Post RustyFN
Dave we always need a new tool or two. Open to suggestions. Woodbutcherbynight the rustic look is what she wanted. Glad I accomplished that. We had been looking at some antique shops and saw some nice cabinets and figured I could make them for less. Just thought best to strike while the iron is hot. But sure, we'll love helping you spend your money. Never can have enough clamps ; for real when you're building a project like you just completed. Router bits, a router (can't have too many routers either) How about an extra ROS? Need any hand planes? Table saw blades? Dust Collector? Cordless tools? Any new jigs, fixtures or gadgets? Wood vise? Go big...any thing new from Woodpecker strike your fancy? Larry Buskirk, Harry Brink, Cal and 5 others 1

Cal
That looks great Rusty. What size will the smaller cabinets be? And if you are going to be working with sheet goods, you might find a new track saw helpful. Or perhaps a dedicated shop large enough to work sheet goods comfortably FlGatorwood, Gunny, RustyFN and 1 other 3

Get one of these.... 105'' wide body PRO-Grip for 120$... add on of these.... PRO-Grip Saw Guide Plate for 30$... to get this... (using your own CS or router) Note: Better CS's have DC adapters/accessories available for them.... Or make your own Saw Guide Plate from UHMW - 1$ for a cutting board from the Dollar Store... You also automatically get ZC in the bargain... The better plate and guide are from Peachtree... I was thinking about a track saw but being as a don't have a bench I would have to use it on the floor. I have always snapped a line and pushed it through the table saw from the end just using the eyeball. As long as I am cutting close to the center I can cut it pretty straight.
