Artie
I was ripping, on a Shopsmith, have no idea where my head was, but it’s pretty apparent in the first 1/4 inch or so, that’s something is wrong. Now when I had a boat, I was constantly being told that there are only two types of boaters-those who have launched with the drain plug out, and those who are gonna launch with the drain plug out. I managed to avoid that with two boats over 14 years. However I could write a book about all the OTHER goofs/mistakes/bad judgements/oopsies I managed to survive. I have an old craftsman direct drive TS with blade backwards for just such tasks. BUT, I labeled it as such. p_toad, Artie, HARO50 and 3 others

They say the two happiest days in a boaters life, is when he buys the boat, and when he sells the boat. Not true for me, I cried the day I had to sell her. But we needed a place to live (and the boat was only a 20 footer). FlGatorwood, HARO50, Gunny and 1 other 2

Later searches are easier and the tags enhance the searches. I sometimes look for old threads when someone asks a question and I remember that question was answered with a good link for a video or etc. As far as putting the blade on backwards don't think you are the only moron to do that. I did once and can top that. Had the lathe in reverse and couldn't figure why the tool wasn't cutting. We learn from our mistakes??? Sure, the second time I caught on a "little" quicker.
