I like the first one better.  Anyone else try having the replaceable insert set at 45 degrees and slide in and out, no bolts this way and easy to replace?  issues with this?  Over engineering on my thinking?  Oh I meant guessing..:Laughing:

Not over engineering at all. The woodsmith plans call for it.

Not in the shop now, but IIRC, its only 3" or 4" wide. The edges of the butting table parts are beveled @ 45, as are both sides of the replaceable insert. I'll post a picture later today.
