Pot has been legal here for many years. If you ask me how it has affected the state, I couldn't give you an honest answer, except to say it has brought in a huge amount of tax money. I've read that it has not affected car accidents ( I don't believe that ) I've read how much the ingredients in pot has helped relieve pain and stop seizures. I do believe this because it because my daughter has suffered hand pain with an inherited disease and was going to have to quit working. Cannabis oil  has relieved her of the pain and she is able to work again.

Ron, I am happy to hear that your daughter has found relief for her chronic pain. My son was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer earlier this year, and given three years. He supplemented his chemo with "Phoenix Tears", a cannabis oil product. On Oct. 15, he was told that the latest tests found no trace of the disease in the colon, and the 30-odd "spots" in his lungs were down to a half-dozen "shadows". You may draw tour own conclusions.

Having said that, there is a BIG difference between medicinal uses for pot, and the strictly recreational use. Unfortunately, far too many people think that "legalized" means that they can get high, and still pilot a 1 1/2-ton vehicle down a public road at high speed! THAT scares me!

On the six o'clock news.... A car traveling at a high rate of speed up an off-ramp missed the turn, jumped the median, crossed two lanes of on-coming traffic and took out a bus shelter, barely missing two people. The driver has been charged with drug-impaired driving! In case anyone missed it, Canada legalized pot a little while back.

Now THAT is the kind of winter I used to love! Four layers of clothing, mukluks and snowshoes, grab the camera and go! Sunrise to an hour after sunset, seldom met another human being.... and then Bombardier's infernal invention took over the countryside. Paradise lost! :PullingHair:
