Recent "Up from the archives" (Resolved)

Recommended Posts

@John Morris  - Probably just me, or maybe some setting on my computer.

You have posted up several threads that are "up from the archives".  But I only get 4 or 5 posts and then your final post saying "up from..."

There is no link (that I can spot) to take me to the full thread, no nothing.  You got my interest up, and then left me hanging!

Is it just me or my computer?

Cal, can you link me to one of the archive topics that raised your awareness on this issue? Perhaps if I can see what you are seeing I can answer better, thanks!

John,

I believe some of the posts are like the ones I asked you about.

They couldn't be continued after the software changeover to the new platform.

That may be, but they are still relevant. I'll filter a bit better, and delete the discussions that don't make sense. Larry, before you delete content that doesn't make sense, please link me to the topic first in a PM for deletion approval, I'd want to review it first, thanks!

@John Morris

John,

The only posts I've been deleting are the replies I run across that simply say check this link when the links are extinct. I've also been editing out comments in later replies that make reference to the same. The rest of the replies I'm leaving otherwise intact.  Same applies to now extinct video links, and comments in the following replies. I have not deleted any complete topics they're still in the archives.

Perhaps you are already ahead of me John?

One post in particular was started by @John Moody regarding a blanket chest (maybe)?  It began by Johns' relaying that he was back in the shop following knee surgery.  I had made a comment following your "up from the archives" post.  I do not see this thread anywhere now.

Formatting issue by site moderators, the problem is we need to do a better job filtering the Archive topics brought back up to the live forum.

Who We Are

Operation Ward 57 Challenge Coin Display Project

We are a woodworking community with an emphasis on sharing and learning the skilled craft of woodworking and all of its related disciplines. Our community is open to everyone who wishes to join us. We support our American veterans and active duty, being a veteran is not a prerequisite to join. Join us now!

Objective

Air Force Command Center Plaque

Of course just like most online woodworking communities we are centralized in the arts, crafts, and trades that are woodworking. But, we have another focus in our Patriot Woodworker community, we are the only woodworking community that was founded on our care and concern for our disabled veterans.

Volunteer

Patriot Woodworker Volunteers

The Patriot Woodworkers are an all volunteer community, from the staff and hosts who run our online woodworking community to the members who frequent our forums, you'll find volunteers in all of us. We are not on a payroll, unless you consider the spiritual rewards gained from volunteering, as compensation.

Education

Logging

One of the many projects we are working on is a wiki for our online community. A wiki is a great way for woodworkers and enthusiasts to share their knowledge to others, and to impart their knowledge for others to learn from, and utilize as well for their own benefit. We hope you'll consider being a wiki contributor.
