Being from the back woods, seeing pictures on screen, wondered if those Palm Trees was sawed into lumber & what could ya build with/using palm ?lumber? Some of'm are mighty tall, course I've actually seen shorter ones.

An ornamental palm has the consistency of an over cooked pancake. The only thing they're good for is harboring big insects. Now, coconut palms, that's a horse of a different hue.

You could always use the whole log to build with, sort of like Lincoln Logs.  Here is one example, and explanation, of how they helped win our independence:
