Popular Post DAB
no pics, but you'll understand why shortly. my wonderful wife has 4 (yes Four!) recipe boxes full of recipes. over time, she has been re-typing old hand written ones on her iMac, and then printing them out via the printer. she could not find good 4x6 cards, so she got some heavy weight paper in 8-1/2x11. well, that's not 4x6. this is where i come in. sure, I could spend hours with scissors or a utility knife and ruler, cutting the sheets into recipe card sizes...but that seems like work. who you going to call? Tablesaw! i set the fence to 6", cut the papers to that, take the cut off and cut it to 6" also, then re-set the fence to 4" and cut three stacks of 4x6 cards. it helps if you have some scrap plywood to press on top to minimize the tear out and movement. zip, zip, zip, all done. here you go dear. toss the cutoffs and turn the lights off. project done. steamshovel
Table saw is a hero. I have even used mine to cut a 45 Degree angle on my floor matt edges to keep from tripping. Preston p_toad and HARO50
