Popular Post Ron Dudelston
Yesterday, we picked my daughter and son in law up at the Indianapolis Airport where they had just flown in from a 10 day anniversary trip to Hawaii. When we dropped them off at their home, she opened her suitcase, pulled out a package and said, "Dad, this is for Father's Day." I opened the package and I was flabbergasted at what I saw. When they were on Oahu, they visited the U.S.S Arizona memorial and bought an American flag that had been flown over the U.S.S. Arizona on December 7, 2016 at 1456 hours. The 75th anniversary of the bombing. I had built several smaller flag cases for a man in Florence, Alabama two years ago and for some reason I had made an extra one. The flag now holds a prominent place on my mantle. Since I'm a vet and the flag was presented to a vet, a special certificate of appreciation with my name came with the flag. It will also be framed. Needless to say, I was speechless. Dadio, p_toad, Chips N Dust and 3 others
