Popular Post Ron Altier
When I lowered my my mini so I could sit and turn, I found that I had to move my stool and that was annoying. I thought I'd build a bench style seat that I could slide on. Lew suggested a stool with wheels.......Duh. Simple and effective. I found one on Amazon with 5 wheels and a pneumatic height adjustment for $30. My wife had enough points that it was free. Price was just right Dadio, Chips N Dust, Grandpadave52 and 5 others
lew
Glad it worked out! That looks like a really stable unit. The adjustable height is gonna make it comfortable for most any turning situation. Cal

Jari
Greetings all To help you turn when sitting fown, have look at Vicmark sit down lathe set-up. I have seen turners in wheel chair using this set-up and it gives them more control as piece is closer to them. It is like leaning over towards the turner. Not that hard to do your current lathe, lift rear up few centimeters. Just a thought.... lew and DuckSoup

HandyDan
Holding the tools would have a more natural feel with that setup. Jari
