Popular Post Smallpatch
My bo-bo is still going to show but hey if I wanted to be perfect I would have run for President...or a dog catcher! Fred W. Hargis Jr
It's covered pretty well, I think it's great. I do like that coloring you have chosen. Grandpadave52
lew
I think the dark stain did a really good job of camouflaging the area.
Dadio
WOOOOWHEEE,nice, if I didn't know it is there I still don't see it. What color is that Cordoba? If you want to throw that one away and try again just send it to me. Herb Nickp, Grandpadave52 and HARO50
Smallpatch
Herb this is a dye stain about as strong as you can get. I have had this for many years and don't remember who made it. I used three different colors applied at three different times. I edged it with an almost black color to help cover. I did just like you do an inlay so the edges are almost always visible. A filler would have edged better but harder covering the color. A think a relative will be the recipient. John Moody and HARO50
Al B
The only one who will see the bo-bo is the clock maker. It looks great. John Moody and Dadio

Gene Howe
Wow! You'd never know. It's beautiful. Great repair job. They say the mark of a craftsman is how well he disguises his mistakes. Dadio and HARO50

Michael Thuman
Your carving talent is world class. Would you ever consider leading a class? Grandpadave52
Ron Dudelston
You have proven you're a good woodworker. Any woodworker that is worth their salt will quickly point out any mistake they have made in a project. You did wel to cover it and I guarantee you that no one (short of you) will even notice. Nice job. HARO50 and Grandpadave52
Popular Post Smallpatch
Be happy to Michael if they will come to Texas. Do I have to tell them I only use an electric grinder And not own any knives, And I only been doing this for less than 2 years. Hey I am in class for myself as I speak!! One thing about carving, you know instantly when you screw up!! And after looking at your location you will have to get up pretty early each morning to make it here by 9 am.. The main thing I would require is every student will have to be older than me....in case there is any arguments I want to be able to whup somebody...one more thing, all who attends will have to be as deaf as me also. Ron I didn't highlight the bad places, I'm no fool. Michael I will say that is a good compliment but hey, all a person has to do is keep grinding till it looks right... I will change the pendulum when it gets made! Grandpadave52, John Moody, Cal and 3 others
