Popular Post PostalTom
This is my latest attempt at an off-center turning to produce an oval shaped tool handle. This was done out of ash. Be kind, I am still learning, as can plainly be seen. HARO50, Stick486, John Morris and 6 others

lew
Looks good to me, too! What is the tool used for?

The part with the yellow end is an old discarded valve from a local mechanics' shop. The tool is used as a burnisher for my cabinet scrapers. I was using a plastic file handle on the valve, but the plastic cracked and wouldn't stay on the valve. Thus, the handle/learning project. The ash was rough to turn. I might not use that species again to turn.

PostalTom
You're welcome. I was curious as to who would be the first to question my "whatsit" tool. As a concept, it works good. The valve stem is hard and serves it's new purpose. Just needed a new handle. Cal and HARO50
