well that storm that threatened for days just up and left...

well another one took it's place.. temps crashed and the wind is strong...

sure hope it has a huge snow dump in it for me...

the snowshoes are threatening to leave for snowier pastures and the Malamute is becoming very despondent...

and I've had about all the no snow spells I can stand..

Mostly sunny, warm and humid here today. High was 81...rain (which we DO NOT need) in forecast starting late on Friday through Saturday afternoon...more seasonal temps Sunday through early next week. Fall is in the air...corn picked yesterday on the west side of us...Blue-Jays showed up today...Large Harvest full moon tonight...

Temps in mid 80's yesterday, but a noticeable change today with temps in low 70's. Things are still very dry here with no appreciable rain. All local communities have mandatory water restrictions. City of Worcester says their water levels are about 50 % below normal for this time of year. The normal level level at this time is 87% Brooks and small  ponds have dried up. Rainfall here is about 9" below normal  since Jan 2016 and 18" below normal since Jan 2015. We were actually hoping those tropical storms in the southeast would make it here. All of this after the snowiest winter on record in 2014.

You've apparently ticked off the "snow gods!" I need to know what you've done so I can use it here this winter. ;) I'd go for a pleasant day here...been few & far between this summer.

Currently 81* here; winds have picked up considerable from SSW. Rain is just minutes away...can smell it; put the mower up ahead of time. No severe weather in the forecast so hopefully better than last Friday's tornado warning barrage.

67* & 100% RH...apparently has rained most all night as if we need it. Radar shows rain ending in 35 minutes...looks mostly clear back into IL & MO so MAYBE we'll get a break today. Gonna be a nasty morning for a H.S. football game; much worse for a certain student trainer who has part of her responsibility to do team laundry. :P Full harvest moon tonight for the midwest...

Supposed to rain about noon today.  Actually they only missed it by a few hours.  It was raining when I got up at 7:00 AM.

Weather forecasters have a margin of error factor of 99.99%, so really they pretty much hit it on the head. :P

Awoke to the barn owl's chant this AM and now an awesome sunrise and DRY (well except for the heavy dew); temps to be in the mid to upper 80's the next few days with moderate humidity. No rain forecast until late Thursday, so let the mowing resume. Blue-Jays are ranting & raving with several returning "home" already for the winter to come; hummingbirds left last Thursday. Sunday was a decent drying day, pretty healthy SSW breeze, but mostly overcast with temps in the upper 70's.

Can't see what is going on outside the morning.  The fog too thick.

Temperatures all week in the 80s with humidity above 50%.  Why I ask you?  Why?  We should be in the comfortable 70s.  Well at least no rain predicted.  We did get plenty this weekend.

Sunny, currently 69* and almost no wind; very heavy dew again...perfect morning! Got about 25% of mowing trimming done yesterday...headed out to run weed-eater 'til about NOON, then back on the mower...High expected to be in mid 80's this PM.

Partly cloudy now, turning sunny and high in the 70's today. Getting my wood delivered this evening - 2 cords of madrone. This week will be some perfect weather in the evenings for starting to get it in the wood shed.

Who We Are

Operation Ward 57 Challenge Coin Display Project

We are a woodworking community with an emphasis on sharing and learning the skilled craft of woodworking and all of its related disciplines. Our community is open to everyone who wishes to join us. We support our American veterans and active duty, being a veteran is not a prerequisite to join. Join us now!

Objective

Air Force Command Center Plaque

Of course just like most online woodworking communities we are centralized in the arts, crafts, and trades that are woodworking. But, we have another focus in our Patriot Woodworker community, we are the only woodworking community that was founded on our care and concern for our disabled veterans.

Volunteer

Patriot Woodworker Volunteers

The Patriot Woodworkers are an all volunteer community, from the staff and hosts who run our online woodworking community to the members who frequent our forums, you'll find volunteers in all of us. We are not on a payroll, unless you consider the spiritual rewards gained from volunteering, as compensation.

Education

Logging

One of the many projects we are working on is a wiki for our online community. A wiki is a great way for woodworkers and enthusiasts to share their knowledge to others, and to impart their knowledge for others to learn from, and utilize as well for their own benefit. We hope you'll consider being a wiki contributor.
