Ok Stick you can close the door for a while.   14 degrees this morning with a winter storm warning for overnight into tomorrow.   (our winter storm warning is your flurries forecast)  Ground is now cold enough all will stick to pavement.    Roly

Saw where SL area could get the real nasty stuff. Big difference between Stick's and ours is the humidity/dew point; dry powder snow versus wet snow; this one is to be preceded with sleet &/or freezing rain; never a good combination.

This morning is about as sucky as it gets. Nice coating of ice everywhere, and at least one forecast calling for 2+" of snow this afternoon. I was watching the broader radar image on the news last night and noticed that Bowling Green (KY) had freezinf rrain yesterday. Wonder how Allen Worsham did with the ice?

Hope he's not in California looking for a house.

Got a mess going on right now.  Forecasted to get 2" of liquid precipitation today which could be rain or snow depending on the temperature.  It is right at the 33° and raining so hopefully it stays that way.

Current temp is holding at 30o. Received about 1/4" of sleet/ice last night followed by light snow. Pretty much all school systems are closed for today. Roads are mainly snlush right now, and snowing again...WET snow.  Sure isn't an average November 15th day...

Wondered the same Fred. While BG does get snow, that region is far more susceptible to freezing rain/ice storms and sleet.  It can get really nasty there.

37° here now with that stuff Stick likes coming down from the S.E. from over Lake Michigan.

Temps forecast to continue dropping into mid to upper 20's by tonight.

Hopefully not that wet heavy stuff, but when it comes from that direction it usually is. :(

Earlier they were saying that it was going to get sunny:), they sure missed the target there.:Tapping:

It's been nothing but gray, overcast, & gloomy.

Who We Are

Operation Ward 57 Challenge Coin Display Project

We are a woodworking community with an emphasis on sharing and learning the skilled craft of woodworking and all of its related disciplines. Our community is open to everyone who wishes to join us. We support our American veterans and active duty, being a veteran is not a prerequisite to join. Join us now!

Objective

Air Force Command Center Plaque

Of course just like most online woodworking communities we are centralized in the arts, crafts, and trades that are woodworking. But, we have another focus in our Patriot Woodworker community, we are the only woodworking community that was founded on our care and concern for our disabled veterans.

Volunteer

Patriot Woodworker Volunteers

The Patriot Woodworkers are an all volunteer community, from the staff and hosts who run our online woodworking community to the members who frequent our forums, you'll find volunteers in all of us. We are not on a payroll, unless you consider the spiritual rewards gained from volunteering, as compensation.

Education

Logging

One of the many projects we are working on is a wiki for our online community. A wiki is a great way for woodworkers and enthusiasts to share their knowledge to others, and to impart their knowledge for others to learn from, and utilize as well for their own benefit. We hope you'll consider being a wiki contributor.
