Phone shows 42o...hard to believe with 15+ mph winds from NE...real feel = 30o. Saw the sun briefly at the altered, fake time sunrise...complete cloud cover since. Headed back to low 20's tonight.

Yep calendar shows is 03/11...still feels & looks like January w/o the snow.

26o...heavy frost; saw a peek of sun on the horizon...that'll be it until sunset; heavy overcast with a chance for snow. Winds to gust 30+ mph this afternoon...Yep, a typical January day.

8d 3h 36m 45s until Spring somewhere in the Northern Hemisphere

Another Northeast storm brewing. Forecast is for 18"+ of snow, with steady winds of 35 mph and possible gusts to 60 mph. Starts at about midnight tonight and continuing thru the day tomorrow. This is really getting rediculous.  3 major storms since the beginning of March.

One is enough to be ridiculous in my book.  Stay safe.

I certainly feel for you (& others) Al. Hoping you weather (no pun intended) this storm with minimal impact and you maintain power.

Stay in and safe. Keep us updated on how you're doing.

A blistering 27o, but sunshine so far....headed to a high of 35o with 25 mph winds; snow mixed with rain, rain mixed with snow, snow mixed with snow and rain mixed with rain remains in the forecast for later today.

Just a typically January winter day in Indiana...wait, it's March 13???:o

59 degrees, wind blowing, starting to rain. The forecast said: Overnight low around 58. Today's is 56. It is no wonder they can't figure out what the weather is going to do.

Glad to know you're OK Al.

From the weather report at NOON here, it was looking bad your way. Boston area to coast getting most of the press. They said you could get up to 3"/hr...bad thing it was going to be a wet snow.

One thing your Governor was asking was for people to stay off roads for their own safety and to allow Emergency vehicles to do what needs to be done.

Hang on, maybe this is Winter's last gasp for you.

Sure hope so Dave. I believe the south coastal regions of the state may be getting harder hit than we are here, but enough is enough !:wacko:

A tepid 21o this AM and that ~1" of snow that fell in 20 minutes just before dark last night is still covering the ground. A balmy WNW breeze 8-12 mph only adds to that awesome winter experience (insert heavy sarcasm tone here).

Of course the full cloud cover only enhances the start to this January in March morning and will prevent seeing another sunrise. The 72% humidity combined with the other overall factors allows us to experience a "real feel" of 11o.

Ah the joys of Indiana weather late in the winter...DIE winter DIE!

I now return you to your regularly scheduled day of weather bliss.

6d 4h 12m 30s until Spring...That's right folks, we're officially less than a week until Sprung is Springed!

Who We Are

Operation Ward 57 Challenge Coin Display Project

We are a woodworking community with an emphasis on sharing and learning the skilled craft of woodworking and all of its related disciplines. Our community is open to everyone who wishes to join us. We support our American veterans and active duty, being a veteran is not a prerequisite to join. Join us now!

Objective

Air Force Command Center Plaque

Of course just like most online woodworking communities we are centralized in the arts, crafts, and trades that are woodworking. But, we have another focus in our Patriot Woodworker community, we are the only woodworking community that was founded on our care and concern for our disabled veterans.

Volunteer

Patriot Woodworker Volunteers

The Patriot Woodworkers are an all volunteer community, from the staff and hosts who run our online woodworking community to the members who frequent our forums, you'll find volunteers in all of us. We are not on a payroll, unless you consider the spiritual rewards gained from volunteering, as compensation.

Education

Logging

One of the many projects we are working on is a wiki for our online community. A wiki is a great way for woodworkers and enthusiasts to share their knowledge to others, and to impart their knowledge for others to learn from, and utilize as well for their own benefit. We hope you'll consider being a wiki contributor.
