Popular Post Gerald
Saw this in American Woodturners and had to try it. It is really easy to do except bending the wire to get even curve. You can cut at any angle you feel comfortable with , just be sure to sand farther down than the cut. You will have to hand sand the bottom. By the way drill for the wire before cut. Steve Krumanaker
Thanks Gerald, I have seen those before but never thought about how they are done. Hard to believe but in just a few weeks it'll be time to start turning ornaments for the season. steve

No it was a pack of 1/16 bar I got at Hobby Lobby, but any wire would work, just that smaller is easier to bend. Grandpadave52

Grandpadave52
Very nice Gerald. I like it! If you plan to do more of these in the future, you may want of consider one of these or similar to bend your wire. You probably could made one of your own too. This is the Grizzly T10163 shown at Amazon...Hobby Lobby or Michael's likely carries a version also. https://www.amazon.com/Grizzly-T10163-Wire-Bending-Jig/dp/B006SJE7N8 Gerald
