John Morris
Will this work? p_toad
lew
Yep! One thing I would do is make an indicator mark on the wood to match one of the jaws (ie #1). That way if you need to remove the piece and put it back in , it will have the same orientation in respect to the chuck Chips N Dust
lew
Did I mention that you get a big old Raspberry for having that chuck! I am totally jealous!!! Chips N Dust
HandyDan
Do that all the time as long as it is square.
Steve Krumanaker
I do it all the time. I mark center on one end for your tailstock. Clamp it up and turn. You can, and sometimes I do, cut a tenon and flip it end for end. Steve Edited April 8, 2017 by Steve Krumanaker left out a word.
John Hechel
I don't recommend you do that John. hammers aren't that expensive and you will probably ruin the chuck if you use it to pound in screws Chips N Dust, John Morris, Grandpadave52 and 1 other
