Ron Altier
A few years back I decided I wanted to try my hand at making a crucifix. I do not hand carve, so all of this was done on my 10" band saw with an eight in blade and various other sanding techniques. I used a Drummel tool and some hand sanding. I am not sure of the wood, but it was easy to work with. I did not want it to look clean or neat. Jesus was beaten, stabbed, etc and was a mess when they hung him. I gave this to my sister for Christmas and she had it blessed by her priest to hang on her wall John Moody

John Morris
I remember this one Ron. I loved it then and do now. Not bad for not ever carving before!
Ron Altier
Thanks guys. I made several, not all were nice, but I learned from each. This one was OK, but I am most proud of another, but can't find the picture
