Here's our neighbor at the campground Cameron's first cuts on the lathe. He still has a lot to learn on technique, like keeping his hand further back on the handle, putting his left-hand forwards, and keeping his finger tight to the tool rest. But he turned 4 pizza cutter handles and wanted to keep going even after a few catches from rushing the cuts. since my lathe is a bit high for him, we'll be using a riser stand to help him keep the chisels at the proper cutting angle. Other than that, He's itching to keep going. Earlier this month his grandmother asked for a seam ripper, she doesn't know it but that will be made by him also.
