Finishing the Amana Way

Five years ago, we visited the Amana Wood Shop in Main Amana, Iowa.  They hand craft some of the finest Walnut and Oak furniture in the world.  The finish they achieve on their furniture is awesome.

During the tour of the finishing area of the shop, I asked our tour guide if I could get some information regarding their methods for getting the great satin, hand-rubbed finish that's on every piece they make.  They said YES!…
