About beds, bolts and fasteners

Started this discussion. Last reply by John Moody Jun 14, 2013. 4 Replies

After 15 years of promising the wife I'd build her a bed, I finally found  plans that she and I both agree upon.  A craftsman style in walnut milled from a local church camp.My original intent was to…Continue

Porch post replacement

Makeup Bench

Made this little makeup bench for my daughter as a Christmas gift.  I downsized it from the original plan in Wood magazine.Started with reclaimed oak lumber I got from various auctions.  The majority of it came from old headboards and frames.  Cut out all the parts, glued up four legs and laid out the biscuit joints.  This was…See More

Greetings from Kansas

Howdy,  I'm Will Downing from Topeka KS.  Currently I work for the State as a Media Producer and have gotten a pretty good start on my hobby shop by attending auctions and the judicious purchase of items from a few of the members here.  My eventual goal is to build furniture.  Whether it sells or not really is immaterial, I just enjoy making sawdust.  It provides me a different creative outlet than that which I'm normally engaged in.  Currently I'm building some flag cases for use here locally,…See More
