Dadio reacted to Dale Felice for a gallery image, Farmhouse bench
A simple but very sturdy 4 ft bench. I am not really a big fan of gunstock stain, but it did fit the bill. I took a grinder and created "rough sawn" marks it. I think I will do more of these as the math was simple. Only about 45 minutes to an hour later...

Dadio reacted to Smallpatch for a gallery image, wood with pattern and outside has been cut out
first picture is after I finished cutting the outside of the carvings .
Next picture is after I cut the inside of the carving pieces and removed the pattern
pieces. Next I will remodel and cut out the inside for the clear glass and will cut out a dial with the scroll saw. Then build a box for the back side thick enough to handle the movement and speaker then figure how to vent the speak to the outside so someone might be able to hear it....Then the easy part will begin , leaning back in my easy chair and carving the wood in to what ever. I am making lots of changing to this clock so I don't have a clue as to the copy right thingy. I'll consult the brains and see what they say..

Dadio reacted to Rick Smith for a gallery image, Clinton2.JPG
The Clinton signs were custom designed for me by Keith Fenton of Sheila Landry designs. The intersecting word is cut from 1/8" maple that I stack cut 3 at a time. Then I mount onto 1/2" stained backer board made out of pine. The brass pins in the corners are for decorative purposes only. Then I top coat with a stain spray and attach saw tooth hangers on the back.

Beads of courage bowl turned of bradford pear. This is the first time I have had the red hold thru drying and finish on a BP bowl. Recessed top area gives real interest to this bowl
