360 degree sunset IMG_2772.mov

It was clear here. Eerily quiet and pitch black. Pictures don’t do it justice. The cool part was the 360 degree sunset effect. We were at 75 degrees and the temps dropped about 10 degrees. IMG_2773.mov

We are in the total blackout area here. Weatherman says only a few clouds. I’ll post pictures.

Happy Birthday, my friend!

Thanks!

Yep. Thought about engraving them with a CNC router but opted to laser them in.

After an eternity, these two podiums are in place at two local funeral homes. I instructed the owners to bulk up and work out because they are heavy.

Wonder how he gets his pants on.

I knew something had changed.

I will put my City Council hat on and answer that question. Revenue. Municipalities run on tax revenue and tax revenue is generated by several means. Property taxes, LIT (local income taxes), LOIT (local option income taxes), food and beverage taxes and the like. A $5,000 carrot to entice new residents is a small up front payment to produce huge long term revenue. For that same reason local governments will offer short term tax abatements to companies so that they will grow and bring in new employees.

Moody lives in a corner of heaven. The Shoals area is a really cool place because there are four cities in a tight quadrant and each one is different. All are right on the Tennessee river. John lives up on the northeast side in Florence. However, they did get more snow than we did this season.

Nice, John! Did you build a new assembly bench? It looks different.
-
Yep. We know where you live.

Glad to see that you are well. That was a biggggg bump in the road last week.

National Weather Service said that the Winchester tornado was at the upper limit of an EF3 with winds of 165 mph. It was on the ground for 25 miles and was 700 yards wide

That storm was running slightly northeast. Now I’m concerned

Winchester Indiana got hammered about 8 pm last night. For the woodworkers, Winchester is about 10 miles due east of Frank Miller Lumber.

With any luck I will be able to glue and assemble these two podiums. I have a friend laser engraving a logo for a funeral home on them. I need to get them out of my shop. -
Nice!

Outstanding! A truly memorable piece!
