Sculpture On A Lathe

Lathe turnings are combined with some relatively simple hand carving in this unusual project that is a historical figure based on an old engraving. The subject is a "vieillard" (old man), portrayed by a dancer named Magny, who worked in the Opera Francais, Paris, France, in the year 1675. While a cape was part of the original costume, and is represented by a piece of chamois in the model, it need not be included in the your figure if you wish to eliminate it.
